Dan Chiche, MD, MsC

Dan Chiche MD, MBA, has a successful 20 year career history in the top tier pharmaceutical companies (Glaxo and Bristol-Myers Squibb) as an executive in Clinical Research and Medical Affairs.

Dan was NEOMED’s Chief Medical Officer, a novel type of organization which pioneer an approach to bridge the gap between early innovations and the health care needs of society. He is a Medical Doctor with additional training in biostatistics (Master) and business administration.

He has been involved in key clinical development of compounds in various therapeutic areas, including infectious diseases, HIV, hepatitis, influenza, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, COPD, asthma, pain, fibrosis and oncology and is fully familiarized with clinical research standards: ICH, FDA and EMEA.

As an executive manager, he has been directly involved in the optimization of human resources and processes to deliver, on schedule, high quality outputs in clinical research and medical affairs.

In 2007, Dan founded Kompas Medical Services Inc., a company providing services to Biotechs, Pharmas, and other institutions. Dan was a member of board of directors of 3 biotechnology companies based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.


Philippe Walker

Philippe Walker, PhD

Philippe Walker has 30 years' experience in Pharmaceutical Research & Development across several therapeutic areas. After studies in Switzerland (UNI Lausanne) and at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Philippe established a laboratory of molecular biology and was an assistant professor at the CHUV in Lausanne.

In 1994 he moved to Montreal to help build the first North American RD site for ASTRA where he was head of molecular biology from 1994 to 2000 and Vice President of RD and site Manager at AZRD Montreal from 2000 to 2010.

In 2010 he was global head of CNS research for AstraZeneca, supervising RD sites in the US, Canada and Sweden. In 2012, Philippe founded the NEOMED Institute where he has been Chief Scientific Officer in charge of a pipeline of drug discovery projects covering multiple therapeutic areas. His consultancies cover multiple aspects of drug discovery and early development in multiple therapy areas.


Sultan Ahmad

Sultan Ahmad, PhD

Expert, Drug Discovery and Preclinical Development

An experienced and versatile Ph.D. pharmaceutical R&D/Scientific Affairs professional with over 25 years of experience including 20 years in management positions and in building teams. Experience in establishment and management of collaborations and alliances with scientific and medical communities.

Has led many scientific evaluations and due diligence of licensing/partnership opportunities in the areas of pain, psychiatry, oncology and gastrointestinal diseases and for medical cannabis.

Past experience includes department head, project lead including for a clinical stage cannabinoid program, and leading global and local teams in a large MNP. Experience span large MNPs, mid-size pharma, not-for-profit organization and the government laboratories.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of drug development including preclinical and clinical development and regulatory strategies. Thorough understanding of medical cannabis and its potential in various diseases.
